I think I'm put off at the way the hostages embraced the option of capitulating to their captors by smiling so big and waving. I remember this POW from the initial Iraq invasion, making signals with her eyes, focusing on someone off camera, as if to say, "there's a guy there making me say this."

Always remember the look in those POWs eyes—then compare to what we saw on video from this incident. Not at all alike, or even similar. Fear shows up in the eyes.

And this previous example of courage in the face of the enemy. I've lost a bit of respect for the RN and RM if this is how they are training their people.
