Giuliani is engaging in misdirection. He says that he "hates abortion" yet he has consistantly been pro-abortion even at a state level. He even opposed a ban on Partial Birth Abortion (a barbaric procedure which clearly is the murder of a late-term, unborn child) in New York State. His is so pro-abortion that he's been honored by NARAL - the most strident and liberal pro-abortion organization in the nation. His pro-abortion stance also won him multiple endorsements by the New York State Liberal Party.

Giuliani "hates" abortion so much that he has been quoted as saying that he would pay to have his own grandchild aborted.

He's using Clintonesque parsing of language to try to appeal to the pro-life Republican Party (see the platform) while not revealing his true pro-abortion position. It is clearly deception and lies.

Not only have the wheels fallen off the Rudy Wagon, there is no wagon. It’s just Rudy holding the reigns, sitting in the desert by himself.

Let's be brutally honest here.

Giuliani finds himself trapped in a box of his own making -- because he's trying to create the appearance that he's softening his stance on an issue where he has been an unabashed hard-core leftist for his entire political career. He's never even considered abortion an issue of little or no importance (as Romney probably has), so his gyrations look ridiculous and desperate. Because of this, he will always come across as completely phony and/or Clintonesque as he twists himself into these philosophical knots.

Ironically, this is the price he's paying for running as a Republican instead of a Democrat.

Which proves my point that the only significant difference between him and sHrILLARY is he wears a GOP button on his lapel.

And that's enough to make a significant portion of the GOP vote for him.
