yeah sure, going FURTHER right is going to solve this.
look at the list - CO, NM and NV are going Dem because of the Hispanic vote in those states is moving away from republicans. and its because of people like Tancredo.
and I take issue with this poll - I think for example, Rudy would take PA over Hillary in the general.
Uh, when did Hispanics ever vote Republican? Look at the Latino countries - they're socialist all of them (Chile perhaps, excepted). And you expect Latinos from Cental and South America to become limited-government conservatives when they come to the US? In what state or federal election did a majority of Hispanics (or Latinos, or whatever you want to call them) vote Republican? Maybe in Miami, with the Cuban refugees from communism, but nowhere else. Tancredo didn't make them vote Democrat, they've ALWAYS voted Democrat. Bush is killing the Republican Party by opening the Southern border to massive immigration of future Democrat voters.
Nothing you wrote is correct except, perhaps, Rudy taking PA.
God forbid that an American speaks the truth about the illegal invasion. You would be a good spokesman for this administration.
Not True.
NM is going blue because of the invasion from California, not Mexico. This place has a lot of Mexican Republicans, but the limo liberals coming here to retire from their liberal hell holes are turning the place blue.
Uhhh...no.
To the extent the recent Hispanic immigrant vote is a factor, it is because it is getting proportionally larger. Generally, that vote is always going to go to the Democrats, regardless of what position the GOP takes. There is a significant number of Hispanics which does not accept that amnesty is a good thing, BTW. 40% of Hispanics voted for Prop. 187 in California, and from what I recall, an even larger proportion voted for Prop. 200 in Arizona.
That whole "grant amnesty or Hispanics will vote against you" argument is bunk, and always has been.
What the illegal immigration debate really is comes down to the elites who benefit from illegal immigration vs. the regular joes who pay the price in higher taxes and lower wages.
That's not even close to being true. The only way that the Democrats won the governorship in Pennsylvania was by running the son of their last, prominent, pro-life governor. A pro-abortion extremist like Rudy Giuliani would never be able to swing the "Reagan Democrats" who are the key to any Republican victory. Pennsylvania is also a state with a huge number of hunters and gun enthusiasts. If they must choose between an extremist anti-gun Republican and an extremist, anti-gun Democrat, they'll vote for the Democrat.
There are many independents who are not liberals or moderates and are not against the Republican party because of conservatism. They are against the Republican party because they believe that Republicans don't care. They will see Rudy Giuliani as just more of the same.
Rudy Giuliani cannot win in the general election. His liberal extremism will play no better than the supposed conservative extremism that his supporters accuse real Republicans of having. If we nominate Rudy Giuliani, we will lose the general election and lose even more seats in Congress.
