It is frankly astounding to me that people aren't making a bigger deal of the colossal impropriety of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's unauthorized trip to Syria. Where is the outrage?
I realize Democratic leaders and those they answer to have unmitigated contempt for President Bush. I realize they believe the public rewarded their hatred and their antiwar posturing in the November congressional elections.
But according to the latest news reports, President Bush is still in office. This means he is still commander in chief and primarily in charge of U.S. foreign policy.
Democrats have long been opposed to the administration's stern policy toward terrorist-sponsoring states like Iran and Syria. They apparently believe their evil tyrants mean well, and if we will just open a dialogue with them, we can build a lasting peace. After all, the vaunted Iraq Surrender Group recommended that very thing.
But the president has emphasized he does not want to negotiate with Syria, a nation that is supporting our enemies in Iraq, sponsoring Hamas and Islamic Jihad organizations, provides weapons to Hezbollah, is a proxy of Iran and is dedicated to the destruction of our ally, Israel.

There is plenty of outrage her on FR. I posted a few days ago that Pelosi was positioning herself for the presidency. Today, Thomas Sowell suggests she is the president! (At least she is trying to act like it.) I think that her plane should be taken away from her, and she should be removed as Speaker of the House, if not from government altogether. W. are you there?

Pelosi is undermining the foreign policy of our country. At a minimum she should be removed from her position as Speaker of the House.
IMO she should be charged with violating the Logan Act. Without a doubt she violated it and after she's convicted if it's found to be unconstitutional through the appeals courts, that's just tough but she should be made an example of.
Does Pelosi not realize that Israel just called her a liar? What will she do when our Allies call for her resignation? She has just made our government a laughingstock to our enemies. Recind her Passport NOW!
Get real fantom. Look up the Logan Act and read a little about the history of it. It’s never been tested in court and many feel it’s unconstitutional and that’s the only thing she could be charged with.
I don’t argue the pros and cons of President Bush. He’s a good man and has done much for our country. The bashing of him gets old, especially when anyone can link him to anything that happens inside or outside our country just because he is president.
Pelosi is a traitor, guilty of treason. That she will not be stopped and not be prosecuted is what is so wrong with this administration! Please, bring on the next election as soon as possible!
