With less than three weeks to go, Sarko's lead seems to be consolidating. He has consistently beaten Royal in every published poll since the Fall.
Bayrou seems to have little chance of regaining lost support, and it is highly unlikely he will make it to the runoff.
Fortunately, he has a strong, steady lead in the polls, 55%-45%. The Socialists are polling at their lowest since 1969.
That's a good thing.
By possibly electing Sarkozy, France has both the time and the opportunity to actually do something that could help their country improve itself a lot on many issues!
