In the long view. if the republican party does not have to hold to conservative values to get the vote of conservatives, then it will abandon conservative policy to woo a voter group it is not getting, just as the democrats ceased to deliver programs to the African American block once they were on the plantation.

I am not a member of the republican party. It is too unprincipled and too liberal for me. I am a conservative. I wish my views to have a voice in the political process, and therefore my vote is too precious to give away for nothing.I am not going to sacrifice political viability for a single election cycle no matter how much i might not like the candidate one party is fielding.

At least your honest and you’re to be commended for that. Now please give others the courtesy to have their viewpoints. The problem is when you want to change everyone to your liking. Conservatives come in a variety of flavors. Republicans come in a variety. However, we’re all on the right side of the spectrum and love America, versus the Leftists who are Anti American/ Socialist/ Marxists.

It’s insane if we don’t stick together and work within one party as the enemy is so soooo EVIL. We need each other to Defeat EVIL. Just as Ron Paul, a libertarian realized that 3rd parties get nowhere, he’s now a viable member of the R party but still sticks to his views.
