At least hes straigtforward.... Yeah. Kinda like Hitler and Mein Kampf. No, he's not Hitler.
And yes, if he's the nominee I'll vote for him in the general.
If you or anyone else feel the need to go to the voting for Hitler place, be my guest.

The thing is, the anti-Rudy Freepers seem to think theyre the ones who will decide the election. They wont. I doubt they will even make much of an impact on the primaries. Remember that at this point in the 2000 campaign the owner of this site was calling Bush a Coke-sniffing loser, and Alan Keyes was the darling of FRs Real conservatives. Their numbers are inflated because of their prominence on Free Republic, and unfortunately that has also inflated their sense of self-importance. That's it, bash conservatives, Free Republic, and its owner right here on Free Republic. That will win people to your argument and gain you many friends here. Or not.

Lets see: clueless on the constitution with a superficial view of foreign policy. Rudy is a second rate intellect from Lawn Guyland who wants to be a member of "the beautiful people" (hell, he even summers in the Hamptons), even though, with that accent and that control freak attitude, he couldn't get passed the velvet rope at a square dance, let alone "society."
Lawn Guyland boys aren't tough. Some may learn to get tough, but, take away his security detail, and Rudy is just another limp wristed Noo Yawker.

I totally agree with your post. Too bad such calm logic is no longer the norm here at FR.

I like my enemy to be in front of me....not stabbing me in the back like a RINO would.... I've gotten to the point myself, that I would rather also have a Clinton grifter in the WH then a Rudy or McCain who will take your vote for granted, kiss you on the lips while sticking it up your *** and emptying your wallet
This conservative is done watering down my principles to ward off a "evil" politician.
They all are corrupt to a certain point so voting for Hillary, Obama liberal or a Rino like Rudy, McCain is pretty much about the same
............at least in my book

When you can manage to converse is a somewhat less caustic and hostile way, maybe I will answer your questions further. I was just providing information. If you can find other polls with this information, that would be simply splendid.
This site is just filled with nasty boys these days. Sad. Where have all the flowers gone?

I guess you missed the “kinda like” part.
You know, where a political figure says exactly what he believes up front, but his followers are too blinded by ambition to take his words literally, instead projecting their own wishes upon them.
To: Torie
you going to try to lead your following into supporting a third party candidate? Who else is out there?

It won,t cost him any votes. social conservative werent going to vote for him anyway. regardless of whether it is in the primary or the election. Giuliani squandered a golden opportunity here.
He could have simply admitted he was wrong on abortion/gun control/gay marriage, maybe sheepishly stated that what's good for NYC isn't the best for the nation.
There were a lot of social conservatives - and I was one of them at the time - who was hoping that Rudy would move to the right on the social issues but without being in-your-face about them like Brownback and Huckabee is.
I agree that the GOP is relying too much on social conservatism and not enough on fiscal conservatism and limited government. Still, a fiscal conservative has to have at least some social conservatism. I, and many other conservatives, are not comfortable with a Republican who supports abortion on demand.
Rudy statements are the verbal middle finger to social conservatives and even fiscal conservatism as well, since he believes taxpayers should pay for abortions. In short, Rudy has rejected the conservative base as a whole.
His political grave is now dug and when he flames out in the GOP primaries, expect to see him "lash out" at "the extremist right" for "hijacking the primaries". Rudy is done, he is not worthy of any conservative support, not even in the general if he somehow wins the primaries.
To: Gracey
Oh, they did; you must remember how they all trashed Bush in 1999.

Wrong place to go, it doesn’t change minds, particulary those of his luke warm supporters. My opinion only.
