WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Rudy Giuliani's message to social conservatives: If you don't like my views, don't vote for me.

I won’t.
Just thought I cut in here to repeat what I’ve said before. There’s not a single GOP candidate right now, including Rudy, who wouldn’t make a great GOP president. Right now I’m leaning toward Rudy. His abortion stance bothers me not a bit. According to Sean Hannity, Rudy told him he supports the Hyde Amendment, which strictly limits federal funds for abortion.
Rudy is staunchly conservative on most of the issues that matter to me. On the other issues, despite whatever he’s said in the past, I don’t believe he’ll do a thing to roll back our rights and our freedom.
More than any time in American history, it is vital that the next President not be a Democrat. Our survival as a nation depends on it.
Let me remind you, though, that at the same time, Giuliani was defying the law and the Congress to keep NYC as a sanctuary city for hundreds of thousands of illegal foreign national invaders. That’s a bit more important security-wise, don’t you think, than one PR stunt directed at that scumbag terrorist Arafat?
When have we been "thrilled" since Ronald Reagan? Most of these "purists" want a candidate that is unelectable. They need to see that a little compromise helps defeat the real EVIL Satan, Hillary.
That does help and it does suggest that this poll is as valid as any out there right now.
A "moral man" got us stuck in Iraq because he wouldn't listen to people who actually knew how to fight a war.
A "moral man" and his policies cost his party both the House and Senate.
I think the country has had enough of "Moral men" running things for awhile.
I prefer to call it elitist and arogant.
George Bush had the STATE of TEXAS as a Sanctuary State. Yet we voted for him Why didn’t you blast him before the election? There are many Republicans in this category. It eats at me, it’s ruining our country. However, I still voted for Bush. Bet you did also. WHY
The thing is, the anti-Rudy Freepers seem to think they’re the ones who will decide the election. They won’t. I doubt they will even make much of an impact on the primaries. Remember that at this point in the 2000 campaign the owner of this site was calling Bush a Coke-sniffing loser, and Alan Keyes was the darling of FR’s “Real conservatives.” Their numbers are inflated because of their prominence on Free Republic, and unfortunately that has also inflated their sense of self-importance.
Fair enough.
But if he should get the GOP nomination he will get my vote, for the same reason he got my vote for mayor.
I agree with him on some things. I agree with the Dems on nothing.
No way I was anyway there you cross dressing gun grabbing gay supporting liberal.
No. We just want you to grow up f'r chrissakes.
Get Real!!!! She’s satan personified. Pure Evil.
You’re confused. Giuliani willfully and publically thumbed his nose at the law. Made quite a big public deal about it.
As I said before, if only Rudy’s mother believed in abortion as much as he does.
You got that right. Should be fun around here next year if Rudy does get the nomination. I expect a lot of people will come around by then.
They are not the only firm to disclose what you say they do. There will be thousands of polls by hundreds of national firms that will cross-tabulate on a longlist of factors.
To put it to you again, how would you interpret support for Guliani from your out of date crosstabs? If you can’t see the negative for Guliani and others in that table then you have no business presenting it.
I was opposed to George W. Bush in the Primary election of 2000 for the very same reasons that I'm disappointed with him now. He's lived up to almost every one of the things I said he would do as President when I opposed him and, yes, "blasted" him for. But, I held my nose and voted for him because he was not a flaming liberal and was just barely conservative enough to be tolerable in the face of Gore and Kerry. Giuliani is a flaming liberal and there is no way, under ANY circumstances, can I support him or vote for him. It is liberalism - overt and covert - that is ruining our country.
I am not hawking Rudy to you. In fact, I tend not to hawk candidates on this site. I think participants are perfectly capable of making up their own minds. Once in awhile, I provide some information, once, not 200 times, about a candidate, that may not have been widely disseminated, or where I see false assertions made about some candidate (even one I do not favor), I sometimes comment on that. What I was asking was whether you were going to go third party if Rudy gets the nomination. I guess the answer to that one is yes. Thanks for the information.
