Thought Experiment: What would it take to make the free world rise up against islamo-fascist terrorism?
Apparently kidnapping and taking hostage British soldiers isn't going to motivate the free world to rise up against islamo-fascist terrorism.
Iranian terrorists crossing into Iraq and blowing up innocents isn't going to motivate the free world to rise up against islamo-fascist terrorism.
Lebanese terror groups hurling rockets into Israel isn't going to motivate the free world to rise up against islamo-fascist terrorism.
And lets face it, if Gore, or Kerry after him, had won the presidential election (both close elections), even now the US would not be confronting islamo-fascist terrorism in the Middle East.
Is there anything that may motivate the free world to rise up against islamo-fascist terrorism?
No dramatic death toll on nightly news will do it.
9/11 permanently detuned Americans.
Only thing to do it now will be a bank collapse, a food scare where people go hungry, something that affects EVERYONE and farmers are resorting to arms to keep people from eating out of their fields.
THEN the pacifist protesters will shut up.
Oil money funds islamofascism. Iran, Saudi Arabia, Sudan...
Easy one. Muslims in the ME are sitting on the oil. Oil causes global warming. Muslims live in hot and often desert countries. They apparently like a rise in temperatures. Also Muslims who use explosives certainly cause a substantial part of global warming.
Therefore Muslims=Global warming.

I doubt the terrorists would attack their allies, but if they did, the leftists in America would blame conservatives for the attack. Even a nuclear attack would result it further hysterical attacks on Western ideals by the leftists scum. At that point Freedom loving Americans will rightly see that the left and the islamofascists are an equal threat to our Liberty. Only then will the Warrior class rise and take the necessary action to restore sanity to this crazy world.

It is going to take millions dead on all continents before the world wakes up and makes terrorism in general and Islamofascism in particular as taboo as cannibalism, incest or piracy (piracy in the civilized world, at least).
I have a question of my own, not to depress anyone further - what happens to the member states of the EU when the overall population is majority Muslim but that of many of the member states is not? Shari'a for all, or the breakup of the EU? It's still quite a few years off but somebody in Brussels had better be thinking it over. The notion that Shari'a is incompatible with the constitution of the EU is fine in theory but it's already there in fact.
Nothing - but not because people are unwilling to respond to a big attack. The enemy has been carefully measuring its actions against our responses.
They know that a single incident like 9/11 is ‘too much’ in that we rise up and take action for a while until the daily beat of the leftist press depresses people into wanting to quit.
They get away with smaller actions. So, they are ramping up again bit by bit with more egregious attacks. They won’t do another big attack like 9/11. Just little stuff like the British sailors or like the flying imam lawsuit to condition people to the idea that Muslims can do whatever they want and nobody is allowed to do anything about it.
I honestly thought that 9/11 and 3,000 dead would wake up this country, but I seriously underestimated the effects of decades of liberal/socialist/communist propaganda and the crappy publik skule system. I seriously believe that we will need to see a nuclear, biological or chemical attack that kills tens or hundreds of thousands before society finally wakes up and before the assinine surrender monkeys shut up. The irony is that such an attack would most likely kill far more of the ultra-libs than conservatives, and that their softness, their inability to recognize and do something about a threat to their very lives would have led to their deaths.
Ideally, of course, no one else would need to die before we woke up, but the record says otherwise...how truly and profoundly sad.
What did it take in 1937 to wake up Europe and the rest of the world?
Think of 2007 as 1937 and you start to gain a perspective.
It’s coming just as surely as it did then, and we are as we were then.

They won't do anything big until they can do something REALLY big (i.e. 100,000 plus deaths, mass panic and a collapsed economy as a result). Be sure that it is coming - it is just a matter of when.
