Former New York City Mayor Ed Koch has made it clear that he's not very fond of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, and now Koch wants Republicans to know something or two about their front-running presidential candidate. He's doing so by re-issuing his 1999 book, Nasty Man, along with some new comments about his successor.
"I believe Rudy Giuliani would be bad for the country," Koch said. "So what am I supposed to do, be silent? I'm not!"
Koch has endorsed Sen. Hillary Clinton for president in 2008.

Isn't it interesting that the most vicious Rudy bashers are Hillary supporters? Why do you think they are so determined, in their attacks? It's because Rudy is THE ONLY ONE who present a real threat to Hillary's election.

Ed is a better and more likeable man than Mayor Linguine (censored), but we should give the same attention to this endorsement as we should to a revival of the Starland Vocal Band.

You should read something other than the New York Times. Serious observers of politics think no such thing.

When Ed Koch left office, he was sure, that to his dying day, he would be remembered as NYC’s favorite and most colorful mayor. Then came Rudy. Jealousy eats away at Koch everyday.

In his latest rants about Giuliani, Koch says the presidential candidate has lied about a stream of controversies, most recently being his knowledge of Bernard Kerik’s associations with alleged mob figures.
We don’t need another Clintonesque President. Rudy just doesn’t pass the smell test, so let’s pick someone we can be proud to support.

Thanks for the information — so it’s personal too. Well, too bad.

Ed has ALWAYS had his panties in a bunch over Giuliani’s tremendous success as mayor.

Koch hated Rudy from the beginning of Rudy's mayoral term. His most outspoken critic.
No surprise here.

Sure, someone who will be beaten by Hillary and you’ll get Hillary. What logical mind you have.

You know, if ever in your life the words “let’s go to Doug Llewelyn for comment” are followed by anything you say, you ability to be taken seriously in anything is shot.
To: Jhensy
Lots professional jealousy by Koch where Rudy is concerned.
However, Koch is a good man and has been consistent in his criticism or Rudy as well as his intent to support Hillary.

Koch was a decent man who couldn't get his party under control on the CC. He was the kind uncle that we all should have had, but that does not make him a great statesman.
Of course, his mayoralty came in between the reigns of the two WORST Mayors of the 20th century (Abe Beame and David Dinkins).

I doubt that whoever the GOP nominee will be running against Hillary, so why would we want to run a candidate that’s the closest thing to her we’ve got.

This is no surprise...he has always hated Rudy and announced his love for the Pantsuit long ago. However, he does support W on the WOT so what’s he gonna do now???

I don’t get McCain, if he could have been a good boy the nomination would’ve been his. Now he couldn’t get it if he were handing out $100 bills at the polls.
