do realize that many people of
your people group (race/genetic ethnicity) look the same to Japanese and Koreans?
It's what you've grown up with. If you grew up in a relatively homogeneous (genetically) society, you are bound to be able to tell between the people in your society while those from other groups seem to generally look very similar. If you grew up in a relatively heterogeneous society, you tend to be able to distinguish individuals of many people groups/races/genetic ethnicities.
