We’ve lost our frickin’ minds... Great idea having an Imam “pray”, actually gives credibility to that religion.
Every one of the Imam prayers I have read in our offices has been a prayer of conversion.
Why not a prayer to respect ALL faiths? Or something of thanks but not of “changing paths”?

You are absolutely correct. I had no idea this was happening and I am fit to be tied. I cannot believe this. I Have heard nothing, seen nothing, read nothing about this in papers and/or radio. Ugh. All I know is, if I were a Texas senator, I would find the nearest gas station and stuff down two of their burrito supremes, with extra hot sauce, and a large Coke, about two hours before session. Then I’d find a wooden bench, wait for the “invocation” to begin, and deliver my contemporaneous commentary.

I was born and raised in South Texas. I just emailed this thread to everyone I know in Texas. I urge all Freepers to do the same. Exposure is what the enemy hates the most. It’s sad to say that now we have Republicans that aren’t much better than the Liberals. If the people don’t speak up, we’re going down the toilet bowl sooner rather than later.
