“....Excellent points. If Rudy were president, and the next day got to appoint 4 Supremes, who the day after voted to toss out Roe..it would go back to the state legislatures...you’d see abortions legal in NY, NJ, Mass, Cal, and other states..and online travel agents hawking a “three day weekend in NYC..including airfare, a room at the Waldorf, tickets to a Broadway show and/or Yankees game, dinner at Babo, and a D&C ..for a fixed price..”

Exactly, every travel agent would have an Abortion Package Deal......ugh! But true.

It’s becoming clear that the majority of rudy supporters on this site either are terrible at debating the issues, or they have so little ammo to defend the merits of rudy’s positions that they just cut and run. Not just with me, but with other anti-RINO posters.

“Exactly, every travel agent would have an Abortion Package Deal......ugh! But true.”

Which would raise the cost of abortions, and if you follow market forces, reduce the demand for them.

Try to engage without sounding hysterical. The issues you raise are real - no need to flame out with words that serve no one. At this point - I fear you having any kind of firearm.

You, sir, are the hysterical one. I raised very good points and you answer me with childish rhetoric. I simply told you that you are brain dead if you think being POTUS has nothing to do with abortions, especially funding them. As for me owning firearms, I would trust my ability above your ability to carry any day of the week. I have owned and fired firearms since the age of 9, back in the days when our constitution meant something, and I carry concealed every day of my life. Have never shot anyone yet(except during war time) but of course I haven't met a Rudybot face to face yet(if you fail to recoginize this as sarcastic humor then please don't bother to respond, your answer will be dull beyond comprehension).

Don’t you love the (except in war time) insert.

i.e. - “don’t you dare challenge me”

Oh well - his passion is his own.

The candidate you support had the exact same position as Mr. Giuliani until his timely little epiphany in 2005 at the time he decided to run for president.

“Ultimately, it’s a constitutional right, and therefore if it’s a constitutional right, ultimately, even if you do it on a state by state basis, you have to make sure people are protected,” Giuliani said in an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash in Florida’s capital city.

Harris v. McRae, 448 U.S. 297 (1980). The Court found restricting the use of federal
funds to cover abortion does not implicate a woman’s due process right to have an
abortion, as defined by Roe. They wrote, “[a] woman’s freedom of choice [does not]
carry with it a constitutional entitlement to the financial resources to avail herself of the
full range of protected choices.” They also determined that states participating in the
Medicaid program are not required to use their own funds to cover “medically
necessary” abortions for which no federal monies are available.

Guess Mr. Giuliani only believes part of the Court’s interpretation of the Constitution

Does he favor tax payer subsidies so the poor can purchase guns?

I never heard him utter a peep about how unfair it was for the poor to have to cough up more money for the gun permit than for the average gun. Even though it certainly made it harder for the poor (and even the not-so-poor) to legally exercise their constitutional rights in New York City.

I don't think so. I think kitchen abortion clinics would crop up all over the place, other women would simply start dumping babies after birth and many other babies would end up abused or in state-sponsored institutions -- probably with learning disabilities since a woman who doesn't want a child isn't going to go out of her way to receive proper nutrition while pregnant. Women were doing this before Roe and they will do it after. They still do it all over the world. Law changes won't do anything to change behavior. If you want to change behavior and lower abortions, it needs to start with respect in the home, increasing self-esteem for young girls, education, religion, the teaching of abstinence, etc.

So you can provide a source that unwanted pregnancies end most often with state support??

Law changes won't do anything to change behavior.

By all means, then, we need to eliminate all laws, since they are obviously incapable of stopping people from doing whatever they want.

OOPS! I forgot: THAT IS REALLY WHAT YOU LIBERTARIAN TYPES WANT TO DO!

I prefer Hannity’s EXCLUSIVE interview with Rudy from last night, because it made me feel all warm and gooey inside about Giuliani.

Shame on that CNN journalist and her tough questions. Did she not realize who she was talking to?!

I was specifically referring to abortion law, not all laws and you know it. Please don’t twist my words.

It is a false negative - and a litmus test with no relevance to being POTUS.

His knowledge (or rather lack thereof) has plenty of relevance to being President.
