These folks are given no constitutional role in foreign policy, none. No reason on earth for them to be there. Can they invent a bogus reason? of course, that’s what they do.
Fox had some guy from some policy institute on this morning, and he was going on and on in praise of how resolute and strong Great Britain was about this, how they showed the rest of the world that you can solve these things through diplomacy. He said to compare that to the way the US handled our Iranian hostage situation, with brute force. How the hell long were they hostages under the milquetoast appeasing Chamberlainian Carter????
