Capitulation.
Does Blair seriously think that anyone believes the Iranians released the hostage soldiers without some type of ‘bribe’?

I guess we don't know. Maybe it was a threat. I hope so.
Let us hope we never find out.
In the interim let us hope that Britan will change its rules of engagement to ensure that no such kidnapping of British Soldiers ever happens again. If they are approached in the open sea or in Iraqi waters by an Iranian gunship, I would hope that the British blow it out of the water.
Personally I would wait until the soldiers are safely on the ground in Iraq and then I would launch an all out assault on the Iranian navy, sinking every last one of the vessels.
But then nobody elected me Prime Minister of Great Britan.
Actually I was thinking of the sound made by warplanes breaking the sound barrier and all headed in one direction...from many. Also there is a very distinctive noise when a certain decision is made. That little ~snick~ when the safeties come off. I seriously doubt there was a bribe involved. AHMANUTJOB just got a taste of how hungry we are for an excuse. ANY excuse ... to pull the trigger.
My nephew is on a sub in the Persian Gulf. Trust me, Iran was thisclose to some major smack down. Irregardless of how this is played in the press.......
