I figured the Pelosi trip to Syria would be used to diss Bush and Blair and help the Dems. Looks like I was right...

This was a propaganda coup of epic proportions.
A victory for dinner jacket aficionados all over the Mideast.
But wouldn't it have been more effective if the woman sailor was dressed in a Persian Princess outfit instead of those homeless rags?

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called an Easter gift to the British people.Mahmoud's idea of a gift is stealing the silverware out of your house and giving it back to you.

Today my friend's daughter-in-law gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Five minutes after I got that news the story broke about the release of the 15 hostages.
It's a good day!!
Thanks be to God!

This was a quid pro quo exchange of the Iranian nuclear scientist ( in Baghdad) for the 15 British Sailors.

This was likely a quid pro quo exchange of the Iranian prisoners in Baghdad for the 15 British Sailors.
I hope we got what we needed from the scientist, who is probably undergoing a tender debrief from the Iranian government.

I think Ahmadinejad brilliantly demonstrated that he can do whatever he damn please, and the West is impotent to do anything about it. Expect bets to go higher next time. Osama was correct on the strong/weak horse paradigm. As long as we are perceived weak, it does not matter how far backwards we will bent - we are still the bad guys. When we are perceived strong, we will be able to get away with applying a heavy hand now and then without a complaint from locals. Its that cynical.

This is going to make the United States look like crap. The Brits were just announcing in their newspapers how it was the U.S fault for the capture because we were capturing the Iranian guys.
Once things start to settle, we’re going to see more of a movement in Britain to limit cooperation with the U.S.

This was a test. If this had been an actual multinational concern, you would have been instructed where to tune for news and official propaganda. This concludes this test of the Iranian Pseudodiplomacy System.
Not only was this a test of whether or not Iran will have to face the UK along with the US and Israel when all hell breaks loose, the UK failed the test. London blinked. And unless something major changes, we won’t be able to count on the UK when the balloon goes up.

In a reference to Mrs Turney, Mr Ahmadinejad said: "How can you justify seeing a mother away from her home, her children. Why don't they respect the values of families in the West?" Why wasn't this young mother at home with her infant child?
