It is so frustrating and dad says that that the orthopedic surgeon is obviously very keen for the op to go forward but the medical team as yet will not release him for surgery because of the other complications.

In fact a couple of times he has witnessed a heated discussion on this issue but obviously at the end of the day medical and the anesthetist have the final say as to whether they consider he is fit for surgery and although frustrating for both the surgeons, dad and me we/they have to abide by recommendations.

Dad has further told the doctors that he wants this stomach problem sorted before surgery.

So we will see what tomorrow brings I just hope and pray that the stomach remain soft and unswollen. The potassium level should not be too difficult to right and maintain but the stomach really has been showing these problems on and off for months but his GP has seemed reluctant to do anything apart from more opening medicine so maybe this is a blessing in disguise if they manage to sort something out for the long time solution.
