Onyx said that they had gone into a bookstore/gift shop close to their hotel this morning, and when they were going in, they saw these black SS vehicles double parking out front, and shortly after that, a press gaggle formed and the first lady was getting out of a limo!
Apparently the First Lady had a speaking engagement inside the same gift shop/bookstore they had been in.
I told onyx that I was looking for them behind the press gaggle in the Rose Garden this morning. Onyx asked why, and I said the president held a press conference there. Onyx said they didn’t know that, and apparently they had left the hotel room and didn’t realize he was having a press conference.
Onyx also said that they ended up parking in public parking last night, and it turns out their parking space was right next to Brit Hume’s! So it sounds like they’re really close to the FOX News Channel DC bureau. I told her that made sense because you can see the Capitol building in the background through the window during Special Report.
Onyx did say that the US Postal Service building was right close by their hotel, so that gives you a rough idea where their hotel is. But nonetheless, they are staying in a hotel near the notable landmarks near the Capitol.
Their hotel is close enough to the Capitol building, they can see the dome from their hotel room. :)
They were also going to do some sightseeing of houses today, like Hillary’s house. I told her to get plenty of pictures! Onyx said they were going to hurl a tomato or egg or two toward the house then take pictures. LOL!!
They’re supposed to get their West Wing tour before the day is over too. They went to the Vietnam Wall last night, but they were told they couldn’t take pictures at night. So they’re going to do the Vietnam Wall visit today while it’s daylight.
When they saw First Lady Laura Bush, onyx estimated they were about 40 feet from her, and she said they snapped some photo’s after the press gaggle dropped their camera’s and they got a good vantage point from behind the gaggle.
Onyx reported that the cherry blossoms looked beautiful and were in FULL BLOOM!
Onyx said that she would call me tomorrow morning and tell me how things went today and what they have planned.
She had wanted my phone number before they left, so she could call me and have me report to the DOSE, and let everyone know how they’re doing. I’ll post another report on the DOSE tomorrow for sure. :)
She called yesterday morning while in transit toward DC, and I got a chance to say "Hello" to the both of them.
The two shutterbugs will have plenty of photo's once they return for all to enjoy!
