The county tax bill for Mammoth Mountain, California might be a bit expensive if taxed at the same rate as the Belgium CO2 Tax.

For 75 grams of CO2 the tax is $26.64 USD

Carbon Dioxide and Helium Discharge from Mammoth Mountain, California.

CURRENT STATUS: Measurements of the total discharge of carbon dioxide (CO2) gas at the Horseshoe Lake tree kill area range from 50-150 tons per day.

100 Tons = 90,718,474 grams per day.

90,718,474 grams / 75 grams = 1,209,580 grilling sessions.

1,209,580 sessions @ $26.64 = $32,223,211.20 USD per day

$32,223,211.20 USD per day X 365 days per year = $11,761,472,088 per year.

The county would owe a tax bill of almost 12 billion dollars per year.

I wonder how much the county tax bill would be for each person?

Can we use this on Al Gore (and only Al Gore and other ecoweenies)? He would be broke by now if taxed at those rates on his CO2 usage.

Mammoth Mountain is a pitiful piker compared to Lake Nyos in Cameroon. In 1986, the saturated lake release an estimated 1 cubic kilometer of CO2 into the air:

1.98 kg/m3

1,000,000,000 m3 CO2

1,980,000,000 kg CO2

1.98E12 g CO2

$26.64 / 75 g = 0.3552 $/g CO2

Bada Boom! $7E11 Aka $700 BILLION!

Africa Wins! That's about 6 times the annual GDP of all of Africa. I think they may have a hard time paying the EnviroCommies. It'll take the entire continent six years to pay the sin commited by that lake in just one day.
