Given that there is literally no such thing as a non-liberal "bioethicist," is is impossible to say with any consensus whether this is ethical or not.

There is no area in which liberals have a more total, iron-fisted control of the entire debate than in bioethics.

If you do donate, make sure your family doesn’t have any congenital condition that may require that organ. Some of the women in my family have a kidney condition that requires me to keep my extra one as a spare part should they ever need it. Hope they can afford it. :-)
