Fred Thompson is playing the best game in town. He is close to 2nd place now without even declaring. Once he jumps in it will be non stop Fred coverage in the media and he is number one in a week.

Easy, Thompson only has 19 percent and Rudy has 20. Therefore, Thompson clearly has no chance.
