Rosie O'Donnell's wacky 9/11 conspiracy theories should get her kicked off 'The View.'
RENOWNED metallurgist Rosie O'Donnell proclaimed on TV on Thursday that Sept. 11, 2001, was a more significant date than most of us realized. It was, in her words, "the first time in history that fire has ever melted steel."
This, of course, came as news to steelworkers, blacksmiths, firefighters, manufacturers of samurai swords and other fools who hadn't realized that steel is forged in magic furnaces using dragon breath and pixie dust.
O'Donnell made this and other profoundly stupid comments on the daytime talk show "The View," ABC's update of the ancient practice of women chattering around the village well.
The former "queen of nice" seems to think that the show is the perfect venue to audition as grand marshal for the next tinfoil hat parade. And if you visit O'Donnell's website (www.rosie.com), you'll find her application's supporting materials: all sorts of unadulterated moonbattery presented in the Esperanto of global derangement — a form of instant-message-style free verse. For example, she writes about the British sailors held prisoner in Iran:

Glen Beck had an engineer on yesterday am talking about that. He said that WTC 7 was a command center for rescue and admin people, so they had a lot of backup diesel generators in the building to ensure a power supply. They were well supplied with tanks of diesel fuel to run them for several days if necessary. That's what cuased the fires to burn so long and hot.

I used to watch Ellen’s sitcom. The one episode where Martha Stewart is coming over for dinner was hysterical. Doesn’t matter if you’re gay or straight, we’ve all had those moments. She has a pleasant look to her.

I know some everyday people who buy into this stuff she is saying,and they hate Bush. But no one ever says anything about the attack of the first world trade center bombing. Maybe that is because it was under Clinton? Which might be a question to ask Mrs. Clinton in regards to what Rosie is saying,our government attack the world trade center. I for one would like those in Washington to come out and speak on this crap and put it to rest.
