The MSM will never, ever, allow Duncan Hunter anywere near the nomination. Where’s he gonna get a hundred million dollars by fall?

"The question before us today is whether Rudy Giuliani committed a blunder of comparable proportions by consenting to a Barbara Walters request for a joint interview with him and his wife Judi - during the course of which he said, embarrassingly, that he would welcome her presence at Cabinet meetings and listen to her closely on issues relating to health care. "
Is this what passes for a "blunder" these days? If so, we're in pretty good shape. This is a non-issue.
And in case you think I'm a Rudy supporter, read my tagline.

Time to get behind Fred. You mean the guy who is open-borders and voted for McCain/Feingold? Isn't he kind of a Tennessee version of the loose cannon from Arizona, but without all the hero qualities? Oh yeah, he plays a conservative on TV just like...Reagan? Thompson is no different than Bush.

As Britt Hume reported on Fox------
"Rudy brought Judi into the political debate, so now she is under the microscope too." The smug arrogance of these two is apparent. They act like dictators who will not countenance criticism.
According to Rudy/Judi, Americans should remain silent, and fall in line whenever they mouth their crackbrained plan to takeover the Repub party (so that liberals control all facets of the US government).
To "coin" a phrase: If the Giuliani's can't stand the heat, they should get out of the kitchen.

Morning Liz...I thin k you’re correct that it was a calculated move, but for a different reason. It buried the Kerick stories that wrere startign to come up, and more importantly, I think the campaign was confused, and concerned, about what Judy’s newly revealed FIRST husband might say.( Turns out, he said nothing )..So, this gave it cover, and if he slammed her, it gave her some creds. Whatever you think of Rudy, he’s always run AT a problem, not AWAY from it. He’s throwing out all of his trash very early on..a smart move..

To: veronica
the reason that some of these silly false-starts don’t stick on Giuliani is because his instincts are so right, to wit, Marc Rich history, reaction to Brooklyn Museum exhibit, banning Yasser Arafat, refusing Saudi money after 9/11, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera

I'm not a rudy supporter either, but I agree with you.
Does no one remember the "kitchen cabinets" of old? Unofficial advisors to a president.
This is really nothing new......from democrats.
That's my problem with rudy, he would make a fine democrat candidate. And, if he won, it wouldn't be a disaster.

Maybe rudy should run with the beast as a running mate. Their views are so similar.

I think Rudy’s comments on letting his wife sit in on Cabinet meetings turned of more than just the “more conservatives”.
IMHO, most American’s are voting for a President not a tag-team. I would have considered voting for Rudy until I read his lips on this one.
We the people of the United States elect a President, not his wife.

Yep. We are lucky. We have 3 strong contenders. Rudy, Thompson and Romney. Any combination of two of those would beat Hillary. I think Rudy however, has the broadest appeal.

"And, if he won, it wouldn't be a disaster."
A Dem president would be far worse. That said, I don't want Giuliani in any legislative or executive position where he could make or support/sign laws that affect me. His demonstrated disregard for the Constitution is all I need not to support him. The "issue" talked up in this article is just nonsense.

Correction! Apparently his wife is a Judi, not a Judy.
So reprint those bumper stickers - it’s Rudy Judiani in 2008!
