A British research team led by the world's leading heart surgeon has grown part of a human heart from stem cells for the first time. If animal trials scheduled for later this year prove successful, replacement tissue could be used in transplants for the hundreds of thousands of people suffering from heart disease within three years.

Yes! Notice that fact was 2/3rds of the way into the srticle.
Right, well thats just jolly good aint it? Perhaps now they can grow a pair of balls on Downing St.
Amazing...I don’t think this will be published in the MSM though...this will go on ignored by them until they get their miracle cure embryonic cells; and true medicine and ethics will have been tossed to the wasteland and set science back for years to come.
Darn I was about to type that, well you snooze you lose.
Many of them are reporting on this, but I could find no mention of "adult" stem cells in any of them.
They’re probably defective. Everyone knows you really have to get stem cells from embryos and fetuses.
I blogged about this yesterday. The article I quoted only menitoned they were from bone marrow, which are adult cells, but you’d have to know that and know the difference.

Now if only the Brits could use stem cells to grow a pair of b@lls, they could take care of the Iranian situation.
I see you noticed that they consistently left the word adult out of the article. If you read it carefully enough and were at least a little knowledgeable you’d know they were adult stem cells, but the media wouldn’t want to make that clear since it would get in the way of their campaign for embryonic stem cell research.
“but the media wouldnt want to make that clear since it would get in the way of their campaign for embryonic stem cell research.”
It would get in the way of the real “story” which is always promoting their own political agenda.
That’s right
as usual, the editor “forgot” to put “adult” stem cells in the headline, knowing that most people don’t read the full article.
They are betting on the fact that many people aren't even aware that there are stem cells that aren't embryonic, nor are they aware of the incredible results that have come from them.
