Gunman Flees After Car Shooting at NYC Airport

NEW YORK — A shooting in a car at John F. Kennedy International Airport early Friday morning left at least one person wounded, police said.
The shooting occurred in a car on airport property around 6 a.m., but the people involved then drove away, said Port Authority Police Sgt. Richard Campbell.
He said it was not clear exactly where in the airport the shooting occurred, or the extent or nature of any injuries. No further details were immediately available.

The chief cleric of a radical mosque in Pakistan’s capital trumpeted plans on Friday to set up vigilante Islamic courts and exhorted followers to become suicide bombers if their Taliban-style movement was
forcibly suppressed.
