McCain heckled by CNN reporter (Michael Ware)
Drudge Report ^ | April 1, 2007 | Matt Drudge

During a live press conference in Bagdad, Senators McCain and Graham were heckled by CNN reporter Michael Ware. An official at the press conference called Ware’s conduct “outrageous,” saying, “here you have two United States Senators in Bagdad giving first-hand reports while Ware is laughing and mocking their comments. I’ve never witnessed such disrespect. This guy is an activist not a reporter.”

Senators McCain and Graham flew into Iraq and drove into Bagdad, making stops at an open market and a joint Iraq/American military security outpost before appearing at the press conference.

This is not the first time Michael Ware has taken issue with Senator McCain’s comments about early progress in Iraq. Last week, after Senator McCain told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer that he needed to catch up on the news coming out of Iraq, Michael Ware responded, saying:

“I don't know what part of Neverland Senator McCain is talking about when he says we can go strolling in Baghdad.”

Michael Ware has also publicly expressed his views on the war last year in an interview with Bill Maher, saying, “I've been given a front-row ticket to watch this slow-motion train wreck … I try to stay as drunk for as long as possible while I'm here … In fact, I'm drinking now.”

People mistake his comments to be referencing the War in Iraq. It makes more sense that he would be speaking in reference to the broadcast entity known as CNN.

The nearly universal tendency of the MSM to substitute their opinions for the facts is nothing new. I wrote about it for at least the sixth time in eleven years, this week. But I do offer an excellent example of good writing and reporting as a contrast.

Ponder this--if McCain were CiC, what do think he'd do if Iran took 15 of our guys?

Limit their ability to post ransom notes or letters from the hostages to no closer than 60 days before an election. Require that each letter cannot be written on paper that costs more than .10c per sheet. Limit the hostages to 25 words or less.....

That's kind of funny, but my thinking is that he'd probably be the most likely of all the candidates to give them a Reganesque response.

That is my point. Who knows what he would do. It might depend on the day. One day he might try diplomacy another he may send in nukes. He is just not stable enough to be POTUS.

Well, this journalistic dude ought to at least stay outside of a 20 foot radius - otherwise he's likely to be crushed by McCain's ego.

"He is just not stable enough to be POTUS."

He's not on my list of candidates, but, I think having someone with a little "instability" could be useful in dealing with our jihadist and Iranian friends.

I just disagree. He's got a temper. That's not the same as being unstable. He's been pretty darned stable on the war and I'm quite confident he'd be ready and willing to render some Iranian bacon, should the need arise.

I used to know him, his problem is much more than a temper. He can be very unstable.

That is the funniest post I have read in months.
