Question: Does America have the balls to use such a weapon, or is this just an arms subsidy?

"Most of its weight is actually in the hardened metal casing"

I think they use old 8" gun tubes for the case. Now there's something our liberal buddies should be able to appreciate, a "green" bomb made of recylced materials :-)

The US is presently engaged in practice/wargames in the Persian Gulf. Hopefully the bombers will start carrying a few of these bombs.

They should change the acronym to ROP, for "Robust Ordnance Penetrator". So then ROP would be used against the ROP crew.

What's the use in having weapons such as these when there is no will, or spine, to use them? Our government is more interested in the "hearts and minds" of our enemies than they are in winning wars and protecting our people. Spit.

Can we test it on Iran as well?

I imagine this article was written for the benefit of Iran. This sounds a lot like the Trinity Test just before Hiroshima............
