Absolutely correct about jailing Libby and the border guards. This newsshow tonight has certainly put that in perspective. But what can we do?

Most of us knew this commission was a whitewash from the get go.
I mean Jamie "The Wall" Gorelick ON the Commission instead of testifying before it.
Two theories:
1. Bush and Clinton have agreed that the "friendly fire" missle takedown of TWA Flight 800 off of Long Island must never be revealed to the American public. (United Flight 93 may figure into the agreement as well.)
2. Mena.
He's protecting Clinton, period. Why? Anyone's guess.
That is what I and, and I guess David Asman, is confused about...WHO do we blame??
I guess it has to be the Justict Department because they seem to have stymied every move along the way to prosecuting Berger PROPERLY...with FELONY charges...
And now they won't answer any questions..and when asked about that woman who helped Berger...it is not important to them.
I will, and do expect to be very angry, based on what I have read here. However, at least I will know.

She and others were given written reprimands that were later erased from their records. In other words, another slap on the wrist. ARRRGGHHHH!!!
It does not make sense that Berger was "studying up" for his testimony and he would 'honestly' remove documents on 4 different days, thus risking throwing away his career and reputation.
It does not make sense that he would do this on his own prompting. There had to be someone else he was protecting.
It does not make sense that he would "inadvertently" cut some documents (evidence) and destroy National Security Documents.
It does not make sense that that the personel at the National Archives did not have protocol to handle just such an eventuality.
It does not make sense that the cochairmen of the 9-11 were apprised of this information and kept it from the other members, thus risking all 9-11 member reputation and report.
It does not make sense that a Republican administration with an appointed AG would not try to be clear on what exactly happened. It is almost as if they are afraid to do a proper and thorough examination of this caper.
It does not make sense that the Justice department, who took such pains to sacrifice Libby, would go for a smaller fish when the National Security Advisor to the PResident could have been had.
