So what did the USA do differently when China took the aircrew for 13 days?

What is your point? Did I say America has responded flawlessly to every crisis? Are the circumstances identical?

Iran is not China. Iran is not one of the great economic, cultural and military powers of the world. Iran is merely a dangerous neighborhood bully that needs to be harshly reminded of it's status, before it becomes something more.

no offense gentlemen, but you are wasting your breath here responding to the ignorance of liberal trolls

at the very least, they behave like ignorant liberal trolls

anyone here who says america would have done this or america would have done that has an agenda, and that agenda doesn't include contributing anything intelligent to the debate...they are simply here to say i told you so and sow discord. so quit lowering yourselves to their level.

friendly advice !

the fact remains iran abducted some british sailors because the UK ROE don't permit defending themselves in a bloody war zone...big mistakes were made here, and lets hope that whoever it is that commands the British armed forces takes all the necessary measures to correct these mistakes.

perhaps those of you that are British citizens could take the time to write to your MP and express your displeasure at how your armed forces are commanded in the field ?

the reality is that there is little to no threat on the open seas from iraqi insurgents/terrorists, and the british navy was complacent, much to the chagrin of the 15 captives, no doubt, but also to the rest of the sane free world who find it deplorable that we can place any armed forces into the field with handcuffs on.

as for those of you monday morning quarterbacks who have expressed displeasure with your british allies for allowing this to happen, or for not immediately nuking and/or invading iran ? these are the same people who blame governments and presidents for hurricanes...mental midgets all.

so by all means, play poker or gin with these fools all you like, but don't be surprised when they are many cards short of a full deck.

hope those sailors are released soon ! i firmly believe iran needs to be bombed, but lets get those 15 home first, or exhaust all sane choices beforehand...grovel...human life is worth that, particularly in this instance when the people at the very top who make the decisions that exposed these sailors to abduction are the ones that need to be made accountable...grovel to the iranians...i have no problem with that...let them have their pyrrhic victory.

let them have their victory at home and their victory in the world press, like hezbollah and the lebanese did.

and then they can clean up the rubble around every military and nuclear installation and any industrial installation that supports these structures that they have ever built, all the while congratulating themselves. wally snackbar !

we can handle a little price increase when we fill our cars...small price to pay for the lives of 15 blameless sailors, and well worth every penny to see the persians get whats coming to them !
