Newt is not electable in the same way that Hillary is not electable.

In a recent poll 50% of the electorate said they wouldn't vote for Hillary under any circumstances.

None the less the dems are hell bent on putting up Hilary for election.

So what the hey.

Why not put up Newt.

Newt is not electable because of the sorry state of the old media and the rabid democrat leadership.

They went after him after he lead the revolution in 1994 on trumped up baloney charges which I did not understand then and do not remember now. Should he run it will be their wet dream come true. They will ignore what he says, his intelligence, leadership and destroy him once again.

OTH, the past of the Beast is never questioned. Considering the fact that the old media genuflects at the whisper of her very name, her negatives are still high, a true witch which cannot be elected despite a fawning old media.

Tom Delay's book describes the corrosive nature of modern rat politics when their GOP opponents are not merely defeated, their personal lives and finances are destroyed.

See tag.

And that 50% has remained steady for about the last year and a half in several different polls. That means that in order to win Hillary would have to win the votes of EVERY voter willing to consider her candidacy. That's a pretty freakin' tall order.

What if they put up Hillary and we put up Newt? Would it be tie? The half that won’t vote for one will vote for the other?

I think in a head to head competition Newt would come out ahead because when you listen to him he makes sense. Hillary does not not seem to have the command of the situation as well as Newt does. Of course, this could be little more than wishful thinking on my part!
