Where's the humor (humour)?
To: T. Buzzard Trueblood
Monty Pythons type of humour, very, very specific.

The Brits humiliate themselves by grovelling to thugs. Are you watching this, Argentina?

It's all relative ... remember that Bill Mahar and Rosie O'Donnell are considered comics in some circles. Eyes of the beholder comes to mind ... I didn't find it particularly entertaining either.

Oh yeah British humor, may be in the US we do not see this as humorous but rather it is an lunatic article supporting the terrorist regime in Iran. You may enlighten us please if we are missing something.

Perhaps Terry Jones could trade places with one of the captives and we could all have a good laugh.

He needs to go back to being funny and not being a political commentator. One he is good at, the other not so.
The problem is that he is treating British sailors and marines as the moral equivalent of those at Guantanamo. That is the assumption that he bases his whole column on and it is not a valid assumption.
His column is the equivalent of justifying a WWII concentration camp because of what the Russians did to SS officers when they captured them. Russians killed SS officers....therefore uncivilized in a way equivalent to concentration camps. Not a valid moral equivalency.

What's so funny? This is a lefty saying the Brits have no right to complain. Not funny at all, IMHO.

It is a disgrace. We would never dream of treating captives like this - allowing them to smoke cigarettes, for example, even though it has been proven that smoking kills. Killing by FIRST hand smoking?

Note to Terry Jones. Try actually living in the real world instead of Hysteric Kook Land. The British sailors were in Iraqi waters pursuing their duties under United Nation sanction. What Iran did was an act of criminal kidnapping. If the United Kingdom actually had any sane leadership, as opposed to hysteric ball less kooks such as Mr Jones here, they would all ready be at war with Iran.

Oh yes just so hysterical "funny" for the Twit known as Jones to compare uniformed members of the British Military to rapists, torturers and mass murderers of Al Qeda and the Taliban who routinely murdered unarmed, undefended civilians.
Stick to wearing the dress Mr Jones, political humor is obviously beyond your skill level.

Treason isn't funny, and Monty Python was only funny if you were on drugs. Apparently, Jones still is.
