The U.S. Supreme Court apparently saw it differently.
This is probably the biggest difference between Southron's and Yankee's. We, for the most part, understand when someone is pi$$ing on our back, that althought the SCOTUS may rule that it's rain, it's still just pi$$.

I assume that's why the confederates never established a Supreme Court even though their constitution required one?
