The most high-profile national conservative leader to endorse Rudy Giuliani for President so far insists that the former New York mayor's non-conservative stands on social issues such as abortion won't derail his candidacy in the Republican nomination process next year.
"I've met with several social conservatives and they are leaning strongly to Rudy," said Steve Forbes, publisher and two-time GOP presidential hopeful, who has just come out for Giuliani for President. Although he said he couldn't give the names of most of those he has talked to who are poised to join the Giuliani bandwagon, Forbes did cite Joel Rosenberg -- evangelical Christian, best-selling novelist, and a veteran of past Forbes campaigns -- who was prepared to join Giuliani's campaign team. In Forbes' words, "He thinks Rudy's the real deal, as do at least two others I'm talking to. Giuliani will have a [conservative] team in formation."

If you don't approve of the candidate, then something is wrong with YOU - you're in the wrong party. Start your own party. It's your duty as a party member to go with the majority of party members. Until you can sway a majority of party members of your views, you're SOL.A majority of party members DO agree with my views. Its Rudy whores like you who have been trying to convince them that they must give up those principles in order to win against Hillary.
You've got some nerve telling people loyal conservative Republicans, who are the core of the party, that THEY are the problem when RINO enablers like yourself are why the Republican party is no longer the party of Reagan.

What an honer it is to able to discuss the next election with the person that the majority of Republicans agree with. You have opened my eyes. I thought the idea all along was to win the election, fool that I am. I realize now that we, as the only "real Republicans", and because we aren`t Rudy whores need to stay with our principles and lose this election. So what if Hillorat or the Magic Negro win, by Golly, we stuck to our guns (opps, Hillorat just took them), and we kept our Party both small and pure! And we weren`t fooled by that Rino stuff about leadership, taxes, the War on Terrorism or any of that other stuff!

Yep, they'd let an Islamofacist or Communist win before voting for Rudy, who probably would fight our enemy more aggressively than Bush.

I thought the idea all along was to win the election The idea is to get a conservative in office. Anything else -- especially a RINO -- is disaster for conservatives.
To: Swordfished
If you don't approve of the candidate, then something is wrong with YOU - you're in the wrong party. If the Republican party abandons conservatism, that's true. I'm sure many of us will be happy to leave it if that happens.
But, we know what the Republican party stands for or stood for if one looks at its platform. When one does, one find its RINO Rudy that is in the wrong party.

Newt is my go to guy..
Of course he or any republican will NOT be elected.. NONE of them..
America WANTS a socialist president currently..
The reason I go for Newt is that he will be prepared and groomed for 2012..
Also he would be placed to comment on the extreme leftism of Hitlerys administration..
Americans women generally have become socialist ditz's..
AND they WILL HAVE a socialist women in 2008..
Anybody with any brains can see that clearly.. even though admitting it is hard..
Republicans need to prepare and get realistic..

Well, one's apparently female.... That's about it.
I'm not "open" to gun-grabbing liberals.

Looks like capac puts security over social issues. A handful of Rudy hater posts led me to believe that "True Conservatives" put social issues over our nation's security.
