I hope those passengers countersue them, for what I don't know or care, but I hope they defend themselves.
Maybe countersue for unnecessary anxiety or something like that. Especially if any of the passengers already had other issues such as previous heart problems (fear could cause an attack) or if someone was already nervous about flying in general. I am sure there are all sorts of things that could be brought up.
I would like to see Rule 11 sanctions imposed under the Federal Procedure rules.
Rule 11 sanctions go against the client AND THE LAWYER PERSONALLY. Thus if the client has no money, the John Does can collect 100% from the lawyer.
Can't passengers countersue for the TERROR they felt causing them to report this behavoior. This is going nowhere in court but they will keep trying different angles on it until some 9th circuit precedent is set.
They should. Barratry?
Sue them for creating a hostile, intimidating atmosphere. Those passengers feared for their safety from the imams “suspicious” behavior.
