Hi Euro -

"The major world terrorist threat is one posed by ideology and that ideology is inspired by fundamentalist jihadi Islam."

D'Souza would agree with that.
You said that Shabana Rehman's brother - following in the footsteps of his sister - is involved in a group denouncing radical muslims. That's great. That's what D'Souza wants (as do I) and that's what everyone should want. The goal is to have muslims come out themselves & denounce terrorism and muslim radicals/extremists. D'Souza (and I) believe that we need the help of muslims to help us fight the WOT.
People need to recognize that we can't kill a billion muslims and the religion isn't going to just go away, so the focus needs to be on getting the majority of the members to 'control' the extremists.

I think the point that D'Souza is making as far as not alienating traditional muslims, is essential for all of us to get along and to cooperate in fighting a common enemy, radical extremist muslims.

I believe that what Norway may be seeing is a response to 2 things: more and more radical muslims themselves coming out publicly with their hate speech and more stories about islamic terrorism. In the past, the media didn't report these hate speeches as much and was more reluctant to make the connection between terrorist acts and radical muslims. That makes it easier for everyone to ignore the problem. We still see the msm trying to avoid it here, but others out of the mainstream or on the internet are making the connection and reporting, so everyone (including moderate muslims ) is becoming aware of the situation. The alarm is sounding. And muslims are beginning to recognize the need to answer that alarm. The calls for muslims (from other muslims) to take back their religion from the radicals is the way to end this.

I'll call the EU, and raise.

"We in America know the benevolence that is at the heart of Islam. We've seen it in many ways."
