SEN. Dianne Feinstein has resigned from the Military Construction Appropriations subcommittee. As previously and extensively reviewed in these pages, Feinstein was chairperson and ranking member of MILCON for six years, during which time she had a conflict of interest due to her husband Richard C. Blum's ownership of two major defense contractors, who were awarded billions of dollars for military construction projects approved by Feinstein.

As MILCON leader, Feinstein relished the details of military construction, even micromanaging one project at the level of its sewer design. She regularly took junkets to military bases around the world to inspect construction projects, some of which were contracted to her husband's companies, Perini Corp. and URS Corp....."

IF she was a Republican we'd be hearing about conflict of interest everyday for the next 20 years.

If this was the GOP, it would be the lead story on every single cable network. I've been watching the news....the first I even heard about it was from WND.

This will be drown out by the investigation of no law breaking in the Attorney Scandal.

It needs to hit Drudge or FoxNews. Then MSM will deal with it.

I bet Feinstein smiles, bats her eyelashes and says she had no idea her husbands companies were involved and MSM lets her off.

Turn the fire hoses on the corrupt Congress members. I don't care which party they are in; they need to be exposed and flushed out.

I was going to say that one of the loudest critics of the AG non-scandal (Di Fi on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace), should look in the frigging mirror! Check this out on HotAir:

http://hotair.com/archives/2007/03/29/is-difi-dirty/

This story needs to get out there. Dianne Feinstein not only is a hypocrite, but also a war profiteer...the same as her husband, and her accomplices in the House and Senate are. She finally resigned from the subcommittee? She should never have been on it!

While these greedy and dishonorable politicians take every opportunity to dishonor our troops, they are secretly profiting on fat defense contracts and hiding their involvment in the shoddy treatment our veterans are getting! We need to get MAD...REAL MAD!!

Yeah. I just sent this to a dozen news groups including Fox & Friends, Britt Hume, Sean Hannity, Drudge, Rush Limbaugh, and several other blogs that are beginning to pick this up. GOOD!! Keep your fingers crossed. We cannot afford to shrug this one off because we feel outnumbered. I know you guys are just as tired as I am at continuously hitting the wall of indifference and outright hostility...but DAMNIT...think about the guys on the battlefield who never quit! We are part of this war too. We MUST hold the politicians that are ruining this country fully accountable for their immoral conduct!

Sorry, I know I'm preaching to the choir here. You should have read my scorching e-mail! LOL!
