Why not? If Algore gets enough encouragement from us Greens, he might go for it.

Fred Thompson against al Gore...wonder who would take Tenn.?I dunno. Gee what happened when AL ran in 2000? Did the favorite son take his home state against the Texan? Well they both start with the letter "T" anyway.

It would be a shame if we waste a Gore third party run to elect a candidate like Rudy.

Please Lord, let this happen.
I will donate some carbon credits to Gorebull's campaign.

Call me paranoid, but I can see Al Gore winning the whole thing. If he runs and Hillary is the Democrat nominee, then Gore by default will get the anti-war vote. If someone else runs from the right as a third party, which is likely if Rudy is the nominee, then hello president Al Gore!
To: cake_crumb
I'm just hungry for the left to start eating their own. This is starting to get good!

Thought of that also. The DNC base does not like Hillary that much, and would run to Gore like flies to manure. Rudy would have a similar effect on the GOP base if a third party candidate appeared.
Which would mean the first communist in the White House since Henry Wallace and FDR.

Although the Green Party will fail, let's hope for his success in the election because the likely voters will be the Democratic Party supporters, stealing votes from the Democratic Party supporters that will help the Republican party in the next election. In other words, the Green Party and the Democratic Party will eat eachother in the election.

That's why us "Greens" have to contact Algore and encourage him to run. I work with a guy who loves Algore and I have already encouraged him to call Algore's office and go for it. I persuaded an old tree-hugger friend to vote for Nader in 2000 and she did. She caught on to what I was doing and haven't heard from her since.

I'd expect Gore to hold a grudge against Nader after 2000.
