The senators also want $3.1 billion for the National Guard and Reserve forces to address training and equipment shortfalls.Maybe they should be concerned then about the pork being spent by Democrats.

"We are abusing our all-voluntary force in a dangerous and irresponsible way," Hagel said. "We are abusing our people. We are abusing their families.Senator Hagel, you are the one abusing our all-volunteer force by demeaning their sacrifice and ensuring their defeat. Who is going to join our military in the future when they see our political leaders place them in harms way and then pull the rug out from under them when the going gets tough? Who wants to be part of a defeated army?
If defeat is the objective, then pull all of the troops out now. Another of Hagel's cohorts is John Kerry who testified before Congress in 1971 urging a disastrous cut and run strategy that resulted in the deaths of millions and the devastation of our military for almost 20 years. Kerry said during his testimony, "How can you ask someone to be the last man to die for a mistake?" I am sure that with people like Hagel, Webb, and Kerry, the men in our armed forces must now be asking the same question?
