That Susan B Komen crap is just another leftist, top heavy "charity". I wouldn't give them a nickle.
Whether or not the studies linking abortion and breast cancer are correct or not (I've seen very conflicting evidence), I can't imagine that Planned Parenthood has any valid reason to receive funds from a breast cancer prevention organization.
One less person being born means one less breast cancer victim.

Of course every legitimate scientific study that's looked for Brind's alleged abortion-causes-breast cancer link has found that it doesn't exist, but I wouldn't expect Life News to bother mentioning that little detail.

Abortion is a liberal "sacrament." Anyone who has worked in big science will recognize the sacred cows of the ruling political elite. Abortion is the greatest of these despite the medical evidence.
I agree. We are told that Bush is hated by Liberals because he "stole" the 2000 election. He is hated because he is pro-life.
There is no medical evidence indicating that abortion causes breast cancer. There's one guy who teaches biology at a third rate business college, who claims there is, and a little chorus of politically motivated tagalongs who support his sorry excuse for research because it fits their political agenda. Real biologists and medical researchers, like the ones at Baylor University (not exactly a bastion of liberalism or pro-abortion activism) have debunked this nonsense thoroughly.
The level of "science" behind Brind's claims is several notches below the level of the laughable "science" behind Al Gore's wild global warming alarmism (note that Al and his supporters are also fond of citing lists of "scientists" who support their claim). But as long as it dovetails with anti-abortion ideology, conservatives who rightly guffaw at the global warming nonsense eagerly swallow the abortion-causes-breast cancer nonsense hook, line, and sinker. It's exactly the same mentality that motivates the anti-capitalism, anti-individual liberty crowd to tout the dire warnings of Gore and the sketchy scientists who provide him with his ranting points.
I have gone to that site, and this site also offers information regarding a link. This is very controversial right now as to whether or not it causes a link. It's hard to know exactly because some of the groups that claim that there is no link are pro-abortion such as The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Also, this site, Religious Tolerance, seems faith neutral to me, if not liberal/secular humanist. This is what they say:

This is one link they pointed out, but they had studies from both sides so that people could draw their own conclusions:

Anyway, my mom is a survivor. We went to the Komen walk and not to long after that we found out that they donated to Planned Parenthood. After that, we we never went again or donated any money to their group. I wish they would not donate money to PP. How is that helping find a cure for breast cancer? If they stopped, the libs would most likely come and so would the lifers so they would more and likely get more money.

So to reduce breast cancer risk as much as possible, we should all make sure our daughters get pregnant and stay pregnant, promptly after their first menstrual periods. But of course, that wouldn't make sense, so we don't encourage that.
For the sake of argument, let's assume there is no link between abortion and breast cancer. How exactly does giving money to abortion providers help to find a cure for breast cancer?

It just seems to me that if you are out there raising money for breast cancer research, then that's the ONLY place the money should be going. There are a lot of people who are happy to give money to help find cures for cancer, but that doesn't mean that they want a portion of their money siphoned off to help fund abortion.
When Mrs. rhema had the temerity to suggest as much to a sweet-faced woman who was raising money for the Komen group in a local mall, she got a look that would have put a layer of permafrost on hell.
It's like when the kids come around at Halloween with the UNICEF boxes. I tell them that I won't give money to America's enemies, and that they should tell their teachers to find something else to collect money for next year. I had a mother scream at me once that I was being cruel to starving children; I told her that she was welcome to bring all the truly starving children she could find to my house and I would make sure that they were fed, but that I wasn't going to be guilted into giving my money so some third world dictator could build another palace.

As an aside, yogurt companies, too, like Yoplait, have joined the bandwagon, the money train. I love yogurt and I eat yogurt because I'm lactose intolerant, I want the active yogurt cultures and calcium. It seems to me since they've joined forces, the yogurt is less than ever like what I remember as 'real' yogurt, just 2 basic cultures and 10% calcium, either too sweet or sweetened with aspartame. And prices are up. But, hey, if I lick the pink lid and mail it in, they'll make a small donation to the Komen foundation. Alrighty then...
