Two guys shoot a woman in the abdomen and her unborn baby dies. They get convicted of murder and go to life for first degree murder. Doctors kill 1.5M in the US every year and it is legal... Go figure... 2 guilty in shooting of mother-to-be Face life terms in baby's death By Megan Tench, Globe Staff | March 27, 2007 After 10 days of deliberation , a Suffolk Superior Court jury convicted two men yesterday of first-degree murder in a brazen 2003 shooting of a pregnant woman on a crowded Orange Line train that resulted in the death of her child. Chimezie Akara, 23, and Andre Green, 22, were each charged with firing an errant hollow point bullet that struck Hawa Barry in the abdomen on Feb. 5, 2003. Barry, who was 8 1/2 months pregnant at the time, survived, but her son died 45 minutes after being delivered by Cesarean section.

lets see the libs spin in circles trying to decide if they should get the death penalty or a citation for practicing 'medicine' without a license.
The liberal mind is a confused mind. Do not try to understand, you will go mad trying to do so. Or perhaps, the jury consisted of the handful of Conservatives left in MA.
C'mon folks, this is easy: It's a capital crime to take away a woman's right (koff, koff, gag) to choose.
The 8 1/2 months had something to do with it.
Humane shelters for stray and unwanted dogs and cats in Spokane County, in which lies the City of Spokane, eastern Washington/northern Idaho's abortion provider, have adopted the "no kill" policy to preserve as many dogs and cats as possible from discomfort and/or untimely demise. Presumably, every dog or cat born deserves a long and comfortable life, to be loved and pampered, to receive surgical treatments and medical care as required no matter the cost, and to die a benign death of natural causes, or, should circumstances warrant, to be "put down" humanely, no slicing and dicing by surgeon's curette.
Here is another great example of the down the rabbit hole insanity that abortion "law" is. A few years ago in Chicago, a married manager of a fast food resturant was charged with the murder of his girlfriend and her unborn child. It seems that he knocked her up, and she came to extort him for hush money, part of which was to go for an abortion. He killed her because he didn't want to pay the dough for it.
While the murder charges for the girlfriend are easy to understand, I was struck as to how there was almost no discussion of the fact that he got charged for achieving precisely the same objective for the child that the "mother" was seeking and that she would have been entirely free of legal consequence for by having the deed performed by a medical hitman.
Aside from the grave moral implications, abortion law is also the greatest insult to logic and linear reasoning that was ever perpetrated by man or Supreme Court justice!!!
did the woman die as well?
ok...I actually read it this time...you can't abort a pregnancy that's at 8 1/2 months now. So what is wrong with the murder conviction?
yesterday was another "killing day" here. on the bad weeks, it is friday, saturday and monday. on a good week, i only see them driving in and out on one day. :o( i don't think i could bear prayer sieging there each morning if every day was a killing day. guess i should count the blessings that, at least for now, in SD it isn't every day.
heaven help us! Lord, please bring an end to it soon!
love the graphic! make it bigger!! ;o)
Thanks! No, but Horton has been a great tool for pro-lifers for many years.
Which creates a paradox for the pro death crowd.
Thanks for the ping Coleus.
No, the mother did not die. From another article:
The intended victim, identified as Philip Gadsden by police, yelled to passengers, warning them that Akara and Green had a gun, but Barry, an immigrant from Guinea, spoke little English and did not duck for cover.
"I still have pain in my stomach," the soft-spoken woman, now 34, told the judge yesterday through a translator before the sentencing. "I cannot work. My husband is working hard."
Her voice fell to a faint whisper. "I can't get pregnant no more," she said. "That's all I have to say."
