Bookmarked. Ping. The speaker discusses "capital L" Liberalism, and describes its modern incarnation as "indiscriminateness as virtue" - leading not to a lack of correlation between "Liberalism" and right but to a positive coherence between "Liberalism" and policies that are certain not to forward their stated purposes. "Liberalism" as the rejection of reason and rationality.
My own analysis of claims of "journalistic objectivity" lead ineluctably in the same direction: to claim to be objective is to claim virtue, and to shut off debate. It is sophistry, plain and simple - and Liberals actually know that, and adhere to it anyway.
Why Broadcast Journalism is
Unnecessary and Illegitimate

(The idea around which liberalism coheres is that NOTHING actually matters except PR.)

"Objective indiscriminateness" seems like an oxymoron that ultimately leads to irrationality (brain damage).
