"My strong preference would be to have a classified plan and a classified timetable that should be shared with Congress,"Anything shared with Congress will stay classified until roughly 5 o'clock. Or whenever the Big Three pollute the airwaves with their "Nightly News" in your town.

A secret would last about as long as it took leaky Leahy to dial his cell phone.

These liberal clowns are so worried about their precious political careers. They're just so anxious and perturbed by criticism from their liberal base about Iraq. There isn't a single leader left in the Democrat party, and none of them have the backbone to take any political heat. They are self-focused children, anxious about themselves and their trivial political careers. If we surrender in Iraq, the diplomatic and strategic consequences will be terrible and lasting. We would lose credibility in all our foreign policy negotiations all over the world. My suggestion to the anxious congressional Dems is this: if you are too childish and you don't have the backbone to take some heat while you're in congress, then resign and start a new career in the private sector.

I wouldn't trust the dems. One of them would "leak" this to the NYTimes.

A double secret probation withdrawal date.
Just don't tell Leaky Leahy.

How quickly will the secret retreat date be available on leahyBay: the auction site for national security secrets.

The Dems would just leak the date anyway.
To: bnelson44
What a stupid idea. Does he think all the troops and their equipment will just hop on a ship and come home all at once? In the worse laid plan (Pelosi's plan) or in the Republican plan, any pull out is done in phases over a period of time. You can't keep that kind of a secret.
To: bnelson44
Even if a "secret" such as this was magically kept secret, it would still be ridiculous. Over time, DBM "news" stories will appear where every reporter and his grandmother will come out with the date their "secret" Senior Administration and Senior Congressional sources, who want to remain anonymous due to the sensitive nature of this "date", are telling them.
On the other hand, if this cacaphony of dates drive the enemy insane and schizoid, perhaps I'd support it!

This is an admission on the part of a Democrat that setting any deadline whatsoever is a very bad idea that will have disastrous consequences.

A public deadline would tip off the enemy, "who might just bide their time and wait for us to leave," he said. "Then you'd have chaos and mayhem and instability." Well, he's smarter than the rest of the damn dems who don't even know THIS.

We know that terrorists will just keep testing by shooting children and sending bombs masquerading as children. It should only take a few weeks to figure out that the
Democrats got their way.
Right?
