Democratic presidential contenders at a Las Vegas health care forum Saturday were in broad agreement about the causes of and potential solutions to the crisis in health care."

"Obama's chief rival, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.), took the floor appearing ready for battle, and her presentation reflected her political history and devoted campaign team, which plays smashmouth politics.
"The crucial element of health care reform is not consensus but steamrolling the opposition, she said. She went after the insurance companies and said she would end 'insurance discrimination,'" where insurers refuse to cover people or refuse to pay for certain treatment.
"Clinton has a history of working for health care reform and said, 'I've got the scars to show for it.' She led an effort on behalf of her husband, President Bill Clinton, to reform health care, shortly after he took office. She was beaten badly, and many observers blame that defeat for the Democrats' landslide loss in 1994.
"The newly re-elected New York senator said her prior effort laid the groundwork for the current debate. Nevertheless, she suggested the coming debate will again be a battle with the insurance industry. 'We need to change the way we finance health care by taking money away from those who are doing well,' she said. 'So this is going to be a big political battle.'
"Judging by audience reaction, Clinton was the favorite. Most of the crowd were women, many in the health care industry."

It was a dirty job, but someone had to do it... :)

What these foolish women in the health care industry don't realize is how much their wages and earning power will suffer under the type of system Hillary advocates.

Nothing much changes.
I was in the health care industry when the Clintoons were elected in 1992. Most of the women in our company and other companies were starry eyed, estatic and close to orgasmic about the Clintoons winning. When we, the old gray haired conservatives tried to warn them about what could happen, they just laughed at us.
The impact of Hildebea$t set up the HMO/PPO craze for the next four years inspite of her bill being defeated. The restrictions bought on the free market by those HMOs/PPO were a disaster to our sector of the health care industry.
I lucked out and got a good early retirement in January 1996. In the next few years, the company I worked for had massive layoffs with entire sales divisions and support people being laid off w/o a good package. Only a few of those Clintoon loving women survived the first year and most who survived that year, lost their jobs before the Clintoons left office.
After the elections last fall, a good friend with this company got a surprise early retirement with a good package. Now, he and I believe that was management's way of thanking him and a few others for at least a quarter of a century of good production. There is panic amongst the survivors and massive layoffs are rumored with the Pelosi Thugs running things.
A few weeks ago my wife and ran into one of the formerly starry eyed young women who was layed off in 1996. She and her husband have a small boutique food products company, and she is very conservative now. They will be closing their food production plant in California and moving production to Georgia thanks to Arnold's health plans for California.
This relatively new conservative woman said that the women who cheered for the Clintoons in 1992 and lost their jobs or barely hung on, are still manic/suicidal with support for $inator Hildebea$t.
That's very progressive of you.
Let's be fair and let everybody write it off.
They think that health care is expensive now...wait until it is free !
Closet, nothing. She's not shy about what she believes.
ROFLOL!!
crap, I think I just inhaled my whole glass of water.
Be glad it was water and not beer or red wine.:)
LOL. That would've been bad.
My two adult sons love to crack the worse jokes when their friends are in the process of swallowing some of their beer or wine.
My wife, their Mother has banned that in our house. They can do it outside, but not in the house.
