No one is denying she has a right to do it. But what does that say of her humanity and of the humanity of those who are so indifferent? I have been lucky not to have to watch a loved-one die from cancer. So perhaps you can tell me how one "dies well". We're not talking about someone who had lived a long life and had reared his children. We're talking about a man who still has a wife and children that need him and love him. I don't know how "noble" I would be if I were going to my grave, with children still dependent on me, knowing that there was a chance denied to my by my own sister.

I watched my father die of cancer at the ripe old age of 50, and my mother pass on a few years later from cancer at 51. My youngest brother was still living at home at the time.

Dying well means dying with dignity. You don't throw a tantrum about your sister's selfishness; anyone who knows what's going on will see that. You don't take it to the public and air your family's dirty laundry. You tell all involved it is your sister's choice and you respect it. In other words, become an example of the proper way to go to meet your maker, not as some petty crybaby.

Actually, if it was me, I would go to court to force her to give me the cells, if that failed, kidnapping would be the charge.

I would rather do jail time for kidnapping than die. Think about it, if this guy has little time left what threat is there to a kidnapping charge.

Would there be a possibility of a jury convicting him?

All this presupposes that the story is even close to accurate. I suspect the story may be highly inaccurate.
