To: river rat
In some ways, the WH is the prisoner of the policies that went before it. Our Kosovo policy is part of the multilateral agreement that got NATO forces in there in the first place. I agree it was wrong, especially since it got us involved in the domestic affairs of another country. The Serbs will not agree to a separate Kosovo or an automous one. It is part of Serbia.

Compounding the problem is the fact that the Islamofacists who will run Kosovo will form a sanctuary/launching pad for militant Islamic fundamentalists to attack Europe. Bush is in no position to break with the Europeans on this one given his need for their cooperation in other areas, including Afghanistan.

And here is an even bigger irony: Bush just authorized arming Serbia a few days ago. So what's up with this? Are they encouraging Serbia to go to war so they can smack them down again? Or are they deliberately sending mixed signals to confuse everyone? I don't know, but I smell a rat.
