Crude at fresh 2-week high as Iran tensions mount Tehran says may charge 15 U.K. seamen with illegally entering Iranian waters

By Myra P. Saefong & Ciara Linnane, MarketWatch Last Update: 10:13 AM ET Mar 26, 2007

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil futures rose past $63 a barrel Monday to their highest level in more than two weeks, buoyed by mounting tensions between Iran and the U.K. over the arrest of 15 British navy personnel in the Persian Gulf by Iranian forces and Iran's claims that they had illegally entered its waters. Tehran said it's considering charging the sailors, who the British and Iraqi authorities claim were in Iraqi waters when they were seized at gunpoint on Friday. U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair has called for their release, warning Iran that he views the fate of the seamen as a 'fundamental issue.'

Give Tehran 48 hours notice so they can get out of town, then drop an A-Bomb on them. After that they will behave.

Events are closing in on the Islamofascist Serial Killers in control of Iran.

For the first time since they seized our embassy under the worthless Jimmie Carter, they are being backed into a corner.

Eventually, they will make a serious mistake like the Japanese did on 7 December 1941.

Isn't it amazing how ANS bs controls so much of the news versus what Iran has been doing and is doing.

Thanks for the feedback. My wife scanned the news this morning and there was some comment from BBC on this illegal action by the Iranian Serial Killers. The focus was on ANS's "accidental" overdose on most channels.

Good, bring it on.

Our problem is cheap foreign oil. Keep the price up and domestic production gets cost effective. We WANT the price up. It main be painful in the short term but in the long term it is in the US best interest to wean itself off it's addiction to cheap ME oil.

Hold a Press Conference. Put up big blow up pictures of various Iranian "secret" bunkers, Presidential Offices, Secret Police HQs etc. Tell them they have 12 hours to turn the sailors over to us or the UN or we are going to destroy each of the building listed. 12 hours after that, we will start hitting the personal homes of each of the Mullahs, commanders of the Revolutionary Guards, Defense Ministers and other leadership cadre of the Iranian Govt. Remind the Iranian leaders that if even one hair on the head of even one sailor is mussed it will be considered i a war crime for which they will be prosecuted in the same manner Saddam was.

"If they don't report it, it didn't happen............"

Or if they lie about something or create a non story like the Plame/Wilson bs, then it happened in their diseased minds.

The only hope for this country is for a more rapid self inflicted destruction of the MSM. The way their stocks are headed, many if not most of the MSM will not be around in the next decade.

You may be right, and ETF's dealing with oil might be a good short term investment.

Oil stocks have been good. My bet is that the prices will go up some more.

As long as the eco-nuts block new exploration and also block effective energy alternatives like nuclear...the prices will trend up ?

"Crude at fresh 2-week high as Iran tensions mount" Oh, I don't think they ignored it, what they ignore is the last oil price hike that was because of tensions in the gulf. I don't recall that price hike being recalled. The headline should read, "oil traders gouge consumers using fears of Iran tensions as excuse to line pockets".

No shit. The traders have been using this line for 2 years now. And the dick head hasn't even moved a finger.

Why don't they quit with the excuses and just blame Jed Clampett next.

Jed Clampett has control of the worlds oil suuply up $30.

They need to get original. Next it will be the summer driving season. Blah Blah Blah
