ACLU's Charles Rust-Tierney: Case Simply Bizarre In what amounts to the first two half-real news story on the Charles Rust-Tierney case by the Washington Post and and WDBJ, the story may be even more unsettling to some. Two dozen people, including a neighbor and his former wife, Diann Rust-Tierney spoke on his behalf, both saying they'd trust him with their kids tomorrow, yet Charles Rust-Tierney was apparently downloading images and video of the sexual torture of infants and toddlers in his ten year old son's bedroom during the night.
Prosecutors say Charles Rust-Tierney, a former president of the Virginia ACLU, was leading a "double life,'' coaching Little League baseball by day and using a computer in his 10-year-old son's bedroom to view child pornography at night.
It's also stated that Rust-Tierney was on the ACLU board up until the day he was arrested and has spent the last several years only representing the mentally ill.
"Chuck is the kindest, most gentle human being you could imagine,'' one supporter, Alexandria lawyer Phil Hirschkop, said in an interview. "I have no problem with him being with my children or grandchildren, whatever he's charged with.''

Media is covering up this story. It involves porn video's with toddlers and infants being raped by grown men.
Right. Of course, those kids know who he is, etc. As I recall, Ted Bundy was great with women he personally knew. It's the millions who didn't know him that were in danger.
Later read/pingout.

But the primary reason they are covering it up is because the perp, Charles Rust-Tierney, was chief of the local ACLU.
I just can't imagine this. I once heard of a book some pedophile wrote that taught how to penetrate infants. What a sick society we've become. It certainly is from satan himself.
The story is interesting because it looks like, thank God, that this man did not act on the demons that possessed him. And maybe as those supporters in the article expressed that he would not. But therein lies the problem. Pornography which is unrestricted and easily accessible has its consequences. I tend to be a libertarian and uphold free speech. But the filth and garbage which is available on the internet, allows for what appears to be decent people to lead a double life as reported here. People like him are time bombs maybe they will go off and harm a child and maybe they will contain themselves to cyberspace, but this society is creating a lot of time bombs, and as time passes we may come to understand the terrible consequences of virtually unchecked pornography which is too accessible. And if this guy turns out to be monster, then we can give much credit to the organization with which he was formally associated.
He paid money to others who did act.
There are young children who were apparently raped.
He 'may' not have raped children personally ( we do not know yet ) but he did apparently pay others who did.
Can you just imagine if he were a Republican? Actually you can... just think of that doofus Republican congressman just prior to the election. Endless headlines leading up to the election.
Massive media cover-up on an unparalleled level. Only Bill O'Reilly is out there screaming!
It would be breaking news every twenty minutes like Anna Nicole Smith ?
I can understand where you might to he didn't act on his demon's. But the truth of the matter is that he did act on his demon's.
The people he PAID money to for the video's did it to make money to sell them to people just like him.
He is involved in a crime with a victim, the child.
He paid his money to support these people so he could satisfy his demon.
My point was a subtle one. He deserves whatever he gets. He is as guilty for wanting and using the pornography as those who manufacture it. Pornography will always be around. But in this age of cyberspace, perverts have a better chance of leading double lives and to go undetected and so do the manufacturers. What is the effect of unrestricted pornography that is easily accessible? Sometime it leads to sex crimes beyond the ones inherent in the manufacture, and some times it leads to guy like this who is a time bomb that did not go off. But since such hardcore pornography has never been so easily accessible over a long period of time we do not know what all the effects will be. But my guess is that a lot more people will be leading double lives, and the fact that this guy knew how wrong what he was doing was, that he went to the lengths of using his ten year old's computer to hide his addiction from the rest of the family speaks volumes. Pornography has consequences. Pornography in an online age has such larger consequences that they seem to be out of the grasp of those whose responsibility it is to oversee such things. If the pornography police had as much zeal as the smoking police, then maybe we could not literally breath as easily, but children might be at a lot less risks to the dangers of filthy perverts. You read me wrong if you think that I was cutting the user some slack. I have never smoked a day in my life but the air pollution of a smoke filled room bothers me very little compared to the moral pollution of the internet by pernicious and clearly illegal pornography. I know of many who were addicted to tobacco and kicked it. I know of no one who was addicted to pornography and kicked it. Of course, the pornography addicts that I have known were so far in the closet as evidently this guy was, that they have not yet been outed. This level of pornography seems much more dangerous than tobacco, but what do I know, I am just blogger, blogging off a little steam.
Hey we agree, so lets get this out there and see if we can get the press to light up this story.
Thanks for the ping! It's 1:30am in Qatar, so Jay won't see this for several hours. Also, most blogs are blocked. He can access FR but not Riehl World View.
The blogs are keeping this alive but the only MSM I have seen cover it is Fox's O'Reilly.
Thanks
