LOS ANGELES (AP) - There were dueling immigration rallies in L-A today, marking the one-year anniversary of a massive pro-immigrant demonstration that jammed downtown streets with a half-million protesters. Today's rallies didn't come close to bringing the crowds of the event they commemorated.

...like politicians care about the citizens...
The white guy heiling is a moron or atleast he's do something far too simliar to that. This issue too important to let racists in. It demeans the reasoning behind it.
I think that guy was on the pro-illegal side, attempting to be ironic.
He was on the other side.
Damn! I hate seeing that!
Then you're going to be REALLY angry when you watch the video linked further downthread.
Thank you so much for all your hard work!
Great post!!
Wow, some excellent signs there. Love the gal with the "I crossed the border illegally" shirt! Some of the African-American folks had some fantastic signs, too.
Patriots, one and all.
Photogenic as usual!
Someone should have got a picture of the group of pro-illegals wrapped in the Mexican flag gleefully stomping our flag into the ground! That goes beyond free speech in my book! It is against the law to burn a foreign flag...why not ours!
The other gem was the five/six year old boy who was looking at me and pointing to his crotch. This while his mom repeatedly flipped me off. Yep! Those are good parenting skills on display, not to mention family values!
Oh, I almost forgot the Middle Eastern/European guy who kept yelling at me about being fat. Funny thing was he looked like he was a personal friend of the buffet. Then, for reasons only known to him, he started asking if I had been drinking. ????
Too many idiots, so little time. A lady from our side had a bullhorn and asked the crowd that had marched from Olvera Street why they weren't protesting in Mexico. She told them they had small huevos for spitting on America, and that they knew that they couldn't protest like this in Mexico. She said that she heard them complain about the struggle in Chiapas, but they did it from here, not in Chiapas, which took no courage. She basically called them cowards.
Fun was had by all!
This wasn't the only incident. There was a group of people wrapped in Mexican flags that were stomping our flag into the street rather gleefully. I personally think that isn't covered under free speech, since we're not allowed to burn foreign flags.
In an effort to demonstrate family values and good parenting there was a young woman flipping me off while her 5 or 6 year old boy pointed at his crotch repeatedly.
They don't get that the issue is "illegal" immigrants, not "legal" people. But then the Communists are helping fan the flames with their ususal lies. ANSWER's mark was all over the place.
Something to remember, for all of us...
Which begs the unanswered question to be answered...."Why is this being allowed to happen???"
The sign was made by one of the guys from the San Fernando Valley Republican Club that lives near me. He does great signs! I'll pass on your kudos! He did three for me for the ANSWER rally. Remind me and I'll show them to you.
That is exactly what it is intended to do...get a dialogue going. We are from various backgrounds and races, but the one thing that bind us together is that we are all Americans first. Ted's speech from the beginning of the march is on YouTube.
That is the tactic that is uses not only be the MSM, but by the Reconquista Movement to get their people to believe it is about race and all immigrants. It's about the law.
People who are not aware of who ANSWER is should educate themselves. As to your question, "Why is this being allowed to happen?" I think that it is a complicated issue. I'd like to do what President Eisenhower did...sent Pershing to round up the illegals. Just think of the jobs that would be created.... And then send 'em home! We do it to the Cubans that don't reach land. I'd take 100 Cubans for 1 illegal! Then I'd deduct the amount it takes to repatritate those folks from the aid we send! It's just a thought!
I heard Ted Hayes on the John & Ken show yesterday...it was a hoot. He said the press doesn't know what to do with him. :)
