So, pro-abortion (including partial birth abortion), pro-homosexual "civil unions" (i.e. marriage), pro-illegal immigration and pro-gun control are no longer liberal positions?!
Your President, George W. Bush is also for civil unions, as are the majority of the people in the United States of America. He calls it "compassionate conservatism."
Rudy is not "for" illegal immigration and you can keep repeating this absurdity until the cows come home, but it's not true.
Rudy has vowed NOT to push a pro abortion agenda and to elect conservative judges who may be able to repeal Roe V Wade even though I don't think that's going to happen. They may be able to put some kind of trimester limits on abortion, hopefully.
I don't have any fear that a President Giuliani will "take our guns." This is pure fantasy.

Bush's conservativism has been sporadic at best, and real conservatives disagree with many of his positions.
As for Rudy's other talking points, they are hollow at best. Why should we think that Rudy will appoint judges who have philosophies that are in COMPLETE CONTRAST to his own?

You said, "Your President". What do you mean by that? Is not President Bush *YOUR* president as well?

No, fantasy is the world in which you live.

Rudy has vowed NOT to push a pro abortion agenda and to elect [sic] conservative judges who may be able to repeal [sic] Roe V Wade even though I don't think that's going to happen. Huh??? I don't recollect reading anywhere about any such vow. He bad-mouthed abortion before insisting he would do nothing to stop it. Is that the vow you mean? And I don't think he has ever once said he favors judges who will overturn Roe v. Wade. Instead, he has several times mentioned that he likes the same judges conservatives favor. Wow!

I posted #228. It strikes me that while the "true conservatives" are not at all smitten with RG, they're pretty much accusing those of us who would consider him as a valid candidate to be socialists. If he somehow manages to get the nom and they make good on their threats to stay home on election day, they'd likely help him win. His appeal to swing voters is solid right now, and will stay the same or increase as he campaigns in a national election.
