I guess everyone is different, I would quit now. Edwards is young enough to try a run later on. He only has one wife who appears now to be dying. Doesn't seem like a tough decision to me.

He moght be young enough, but he is already so much in the old news column during this election cycle that he could not sfford to wait 4 or 8 or 12 more years.

It's a sad situation for Elizabeth Edwards, but it does not change my opinion of her husband, nor does it change my impression of his motives.
